The Washington Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame has announced that Camas’ Charlie Hinds will be inducted for “Lifetime Service.”

Hinds started the wrestling program at Camas in 1967 and compiled a record of 240-80 as coach, guiding 10 individual state champions. He retired in 2001.

Hinds did not stay retired for long, though.

He returned to be an assistant coach with Camas for four more seasons beginning in 2003.

The Hall of Fame banquet is Sunday in Olympia.
