A Vancouver woman was sent to the hospital after Washington State Patrol said she lost control of her vehicle and colleded with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 5 south of Woodland early this morning.

Jacie Ferero, 23, was driving a 2003 Ford Focus north on I-5 at about 2 a.m. when she lost control and veered into the path of a freight tractor, driven by Joseph Goldman, 57, of Salem, Ore. The tractor then struck Ferero’s vehicle.

Ferero was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where she is listed in satisfactory condition.

Speed is being considered a cause in the crash. No citations have been issued, but troopers are continuing their investigation.
