Immigrant advocates to host town hall Friday

Immigration rights advocates will be on hand Friday evening to answer questions about the comprehensive immigration reform bill moving through Congress. The town hall meeting takes place 6 to 8 p.m. at Discovery Middle School, 800 N.E. 40th St. in Vancouver.

Guest speakers will offer brief comments about the immigration reforms being considered in Congress, and then open the event up to questions from the public.

Speakers include community activists Ramon Ramirez and Roxana Pardo, policy analyst Maru Mora Villalpando, attorney Erin McKee, college professors Marcos Miranda and Jose Garcia-Pabon, and Linda Castillo of Catholic Charities.
