PORTLAND — Volunteers have been passing out bars of soap at motels along a Portland street known for its “lingerie shows” and prostitution stings.

The soap bars are labeled with a sex trafficking hotline that women can call for help.

KOIN reports volunteers with the East Portland Rotary Club handed out soap Tuesday at the motels, and owners agreed to place the soap in rooms.
