TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Tulsa Shock made former national college player of the year Courtney Paris the final cut from their training camp roster.

Paris was waived Thursday as the Shock reduced their roster to the 11 players required before the start of the regular season. Tulsa opens the season Saturday at Atlanta.

Paris averaged 5.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in three preseason games for Tulsa. But the Shock had to make an extra cut after 6-foot-8 center Elizabeth Cambage decided to rejoin the team after initially saying she wouldn’t play in the WNBA this season.

Paris was the 2007 AP national player of the year for Oklahoma and the first player to be a four-time AP All-American.

She played in 23 games as a reserve last season for Tulsa.
