Pets of the week: West Columbia Gorge Humane Society

He…he…hello? I’m Benny. I’m sorta shy, because I haven’t been socialized well. Now I think I need someone really, really gentle and loving and special to help me figure stuff out. I’m only a 1-year-old male Lab, though, so I know it’s not too late. Can you help make some happy magic in my life?

Hello, world! I’m PorchBob, or you could just call me Bob. I’m a big, 5-year-old shorthair tabby mix boy who was living the adventurous life in a feral colony. But here’s the thing: I’m not feral, and the only adventure was the daily struggle to find food. A kind lady rescued me and discovered I’m a tame sweetheart who enjoys quiet attention, petting and, most of all, feeling loved.

These pets are among those available for adoption from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Sunday (or by appointment) at West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, 2675 S. Index St., Washougal. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and flea treatment. Email outreach@wcghs.org or call 360-335-0941.
