INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — IndyCar driver Charlie Kimball has been cleared to run Sunday’s Indianapolis 500.

Kimball was sick Saturday and missed the public driver meeting with an undisclosed illness. A team spokesman for Chip Ganassi Racing said the illness was unrelated to his diabetes.

Kimball will start 19th and is one of 11 American drivers in the field.
