NEW YORK (AP) — A judge has ordered lawyers for Roger Clemens to turn over government documents in a New York civil case that relate to allegations that the baseball legend cheated on his wife.

A judge ruled last week that the documents must be produced in response to a defamation lawsuit in federal court in Brooklyn. They include 22 FBI reports and notes from an Internal Revenue Service agent.

Former strength coach Brian McNamee sued Clemens in 2009, claiming Clemens ruined McNamee’s reputation by branding him a liar in their dispute over whether the seven-time Cy Young Award winner ever used steroids.

A status conference in the case is scheduled for Wednesday. It’s unclear whether Clemens will be there.
