ZURICH (AP) — Tickets for 2014 World Cup matches in Brazil will go on sale on Aug. 20.
FIFA says the first sales phase will begin when “fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets via www.fifa.com.”
Ticket prices are scheduled to be confirmed at a July 1 news conference, the day after the Confederations Cup final in Rio de Janeiro.
FIFA has previously said it expects around 3.3 million tickets to be available for the 64-match flagship tournament from June 12-July 13.
