Job-hunting workshop, job fair scheduled in Vancouver

Vancouver — A job-hunting workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St. The free event will include representatives from WorkSource, local human resources departments and headhunting agencies. Attendees can participate in a panel discussion and one-on-one counseling. The panel will discuss résumé building, interviewing skills, networking, and other aspects of the job-seeking process.

A Southwest Washington job fair will be from 1 to 5 p.m. June 10 at the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay, 100 Columbia St. Some 40 employers have signed up so far to participate, according to Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, who is organizing the event.
