Fourth-ranked Duke beats Drury 81-65

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Rodney Hood scored 21 points to help No. 4 Duke beat Drury 81-65 on Saturday in an exhibition game.

Amile Jefferson added 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Blue Devils, who rallied from a 38-34 halftime deficit. Quinn Cook scored nine of his 13 points during a 17-4 run for Duke early in the second half. Jabari Parker also scored 13 points for the Blue Devils.

Cameron Adams scored 16 points to lead Drury, the reigning NCAA Division II champion. Kameron Bundy added 11 points and Ian Carter had 10 points for the Panthers.

Drury led 44-41 five minutes into the second half before Duke began its decisive run.

Cook started and finished the spurt with a 3-pointer and sandwiched a three-point play in between. His 3-pointer from the top of the key gave the Blue Devils a 59-48 lead with 9:45 to play.
