NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Taylor Heinicke passed for 293 yards and six touchdowns to lead Old Dominion to a 66-14 blowout win over Rhode Island on Saturday.

The Monarchs (6-3) piled up 633 yards of total offense while holding the Rams (3-7, 2-4 Colonial Athletic Association) to just 98 yards rushing and 268 yards overall. Heinicke, who was 28-for-35 with no interceptions, spread the scoring strikes between three different receivers — Antonio Vaughan, Zach Pascal and Larry Pinkard — all of whom hauled in two TD catches.

Cam Boyd rushed for 119 yards, including a school-record 70-yard TD run, while Colby Goodwyn ran in the Monarchs’ final score from the 3-yard line. David Washington, who replaced Heinicke in the fourth quarter, threw a 2-yard TD to Jakwail Bailey.

Bob Bentsen put the Rams on the scoreboard with a 41-yard TD throw to Ross Kim, then again with a 16-yarder to Robbie Jackson.
