A Woodland High School history teacher has been selected as the winner of this year’s Nancy Lyman Roelker Mentorship Award.
Teacher Shari Hills Conditt will receive the award at the annual meeting of the American History Association in Washington D.C., held Jan. 2 to 5. The association’s award honors teachers who have inspired students in a way that’s changed their lives.
The prize is awarded on a three-year cycle, rotating each year between graduate school mentors, secondary school teachers and undergraduate professors.
A committee composed of association members from across the country selected Conditt for the award.
