Police were unable to track down a man who robbed a U.S. Bank in Orchards on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect went into the branch, 6407 N.E. 117th Ave., and demanded cash from a teller, said Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Tony Barnes. He fled the bank on foot, but dropped some of the money because a dye pack went off.

Officers with the sheriff’s office, Vancouver Police Department and Washington State Patrol canvassed the area.

Although police attempted to track the suspect with a police dog, they did not find him. A witness reported seeing the suspect getting into a car that drove off, Barnes said.
