TORONTO (AP) — Chris Bosh is unavailable for the Miami Heat’s game against the Raptors on Tuesday night following the birth of his daughter, Dylan Skye Bosh.

Bosh, who spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Raptors, missed practice Monday and stayed behind in South Florida when the team traveled to Toronto.

Shane Battier got the start Tuesday in place of Bosh, an eight-time All-Star forward who is averaging 19.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in four games this season.

Bosh is expected to return when the Heat host the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
