Portland MAX train hits pedestrian

Person sustained life-threatening injuries

PORTLAND (AP) — Police in Portland say a pedestrian who was hit Tuesday night by a MAX light rail train suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The accident in southwest Portland also disrupted some light rail traffic.

Police Sgt. Pete Simpson says transit police and the TriMet transit agency are investigating.
