Panthers’ Jesse Winchester suspended 3 games

NEW YORK (AP) — Florida Panthers forward Jesse Winchester was suspended three games without pay by the NHL on Friday for elbowing Boston forward Chris Kelly on Thursday night.

No penalty was assessed on the play in the first period of the Panthers’ 4-1 road loss.

The suspension will cost Winchester $9,231.
