FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Keshaudas Spence set a school single-season rushing record of 178 yards and scored the game’s only touchdown on Saturday to lift Sacred Heart over Duquesne 10-0.

Spence scored on a 22-yard run at 6:37 in the fourth quarter to set the Pioneers (9-2, 3-2 Northeast Conference) up for a showdown next week against conference leader Robert Morris.

Spence carried the ball 35 times and earned the lion’s share of Sacred Hearts 299 total rushing yards, compared with 113 for Duquesne (5-4, 3-2 Northeast Conference).

Sacred Heart’s Troy Moore sealed the game with an interception late in the fourth quarter off a Dillon Buechel pass, bringing to 20 the number of pick-offs by Pioneers defenders this season.

Chris Rogers kicked a 31-yard field goal with 11:25 to go to put Sacred Heart on the board. The Pioneers missed three field goal attempts in the game and the Dukes missed one.
