EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Peyton Hillis is starting at halfback for the New York Giants against the Oakland Raiders.
Hillis got the nod over recently activated Andre Brown after the Giants announced Sunday that Brandon Jacobs would miss the game with hamstring and knee problems. Jacobs had been listed as doubtful.
Also inactive for the Giants are Markus Kuhn, who was activated Thursday after spending the first half of the season on the PUP list, and tight end Adrien Robinson.
The Raiders announced Friday that running back Darren McFadden, defensive backs Tyvon Branch and D.J. Hayden, receiver Juron Criner and tackles Matt McCants and Tony Pashos would not play.
Rookie Menelik Watson started for Pashos. Rashad Jennings replaced McFadden, and Brandian Ross took over at safety for Branch.
