PORTLAND — An Arizona food distributor will shutter its Gresham warehouse and lay off its 78 employees there.
Systems Services of America Inc. will close in early February, according to a mandatory state notice.
Half of the workers who will lose their jobs are drivers. Most others are based in the warehouse, at Northeast 176th Avenue and San Rafael Street in Gresham. The layoffs will occur between Feb. 2 and Feb. 16.
The Scottsdale, Ariz. company, owned by Services Group of America, has three other distribution sites along the West Coast.
