Bradley beats Central Michigan 80-70

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Walt Lemon, Jr. had 20 points, eight boards and five assists on Tuesday night and Bradley dominated the boards to beat Central Michigan 80-70.

Bradley outrebounded Central Michigan 50-28. The 50 rebounds were the most by the Braves since they had 56 against Wichita State Dec. 30, 2005. The Braves led by 17 early in the second half and coasted from there.

Lemon became the 31st player in Bradley history to reach 1,200 career points. Tyshon Pickett added 19 points and a career-high 12 rebounds for the Braves (3-0).

The Chippewas (1-1) scored the first basket and never led again. Chris Fowler scored 20, Austin Keel added 15 and John Simons had 14. Central Michigan was only 6 of 30 from 3-point range.
