Battle Ground — Three Battle Ground High School musicians will be able to show off their standout skills after being picked to play in the Washington Music Education Association’s All-State performing groups in February in Yakima. Sarah Russell, Kimberly Snow and Mattias Tyni were chosen after a series of auditions this year. Russell will sing soprano in the All-State jazz choir, Tyni will play trumpet in the jazz band and Snow will play French horn in the symphony. “This is such a great honor for our students and our school,” BGHS Choir Director Darcy Schmitt said in a press release.
