GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Aaron Anderson scored 23 points to lead North Dakota to a 110-69 rout of Minnesota-Morris in its season opener Wednesday night.
Anderson was 10 of 13 from the field, including three of four from 3-point range, as North Dakota opened with a 6-0 run and kept pulling away on 57.3 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
Four others joined Anderson in double-digits for North Dakota: Troy Huff and Lenny Antwi scored 18 points each, Quinton Hooker had 17 and Jaron Nash added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Kevin Heysee led the Cougars with 9 points and 4 rebounds. The game counted as an exhibition for Minnesota-Morris, a Division III team that lost 113-59 to North Dakota the last the two teams played Nov. 24, 2003.
