San Francisco defeats Cleveland St. 91-82

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Mark Tollefsen had 18 points for San Francisco in its win over Cleveland State Wednesday night 91-82.

The game was closely played throughout as neither team took a double-digit lead until the closing minutes. San Francisco trailed 67-64 with 6:53 remaining in the second half. The Dons used a 27-8 run late in the second half to turn a nine point deficit into a ten point lead.

Five players scored in double-figures for the Dons (2-0) including 17 off the bench for Tim Derksen. Cole Dickerson had the game’s lone double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Sebastian Douglas led the Vikings (1-1) in scoring with 15.

The Dons made 50 percent from the beyond the arc, going 8-of-16, a staple for the Rex Chapman led program that was top 5 nationally last year in 3-point field goal percentage.
