CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson backup tight end Jordan Leggett will miss the eighth-ranked Tigers game with Georgia Tech on Thursday night for violating team rules.

Tigers coach Dabo Swinney announced the suspension in a statement about two hours before kickoff with the Yellow Jackets at Death Valley.

Swinney did not detail the reason for Leggett’s absence, only that it was a one-game penalty.

Leggett is a 6-foot-5, 240 pound freshman from Navarre, Fla. He has played in seven games this season with 10 catches for 89 yards. Two of his grabs have been for touchdowns.
