Eastern Michigan beats Robert Morris 69-64

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Ray Lee scored 21 points and Karrington Ward added 18 and 12 rebounds and Eastern Michigan came from behind to beat Robert Morris 69-64 on Thursday night.

Eastern Michigan lead by 11 in the second half, but the Colonials came back to make it a two-point game in the final minute. However Ward hit three of his 12 free throws down the stretch to preserve the win for the Eagles (3-0).

Lucky Jones opened the game with a 3-pointer and Robert Morris (2-1) extended its lead to 11 points, but the Eagles clawed back and Lee tied the game at 29 with a 3-pointer of his own 1:20 to go in the first half.

Glenn Bryant scored 13 for Eastern Michigan and Lekan Ajayi added 10 rebounds.

With 18 points, Jones led the scoring for the Colonials, followed by Karvel Anderson with 13 and Mike McFadden with 11.
