PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams did not play for the Philadelphia 76ers against Houston on Wednesday night because of a bruised arch in his left foot.

Carter-Williams is averaging 17.4 points, 7.6 assists and 5.4 rebounds. He had his worst game in a loss to San Antonio on Monday night, scoring just eight points on 2-for-11 shooting.

Tony Wroten started in his place.

The Sixers are 4-4 after a surprising 3-0 start that included wins over Miami and Chicago.
