NC State QB Mitchell questionable for BC

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State quarterback Brandon Mitchell is listed as questionable for this week’s game at Boston College.

Mitchell appeared on the Wolfpack’s injury report released Thursday but the nature and severity of the injury was not disclosed.

The injury appears to complicate an already dicey quarterback situation.

Dave Doeren said earlier this week that the Arkansas transfer would start against the Eagles and that “it’ll be his game” after rotating him and Pete Thomas at the position “didn’t work” in a 38-20 loss to Duke.

The Wolfpack (3-6, 0-6 ACC) have lost five straight in Doeren’s first year and have their worst conference record since finishing 0-6 in the ACC in 1959.
