NRC inspects WA nuclear plant for security

RICHLAND — The Nuclear Regulatory Commission conducted a special inspection of the Energy Northwest power plant near Richland because of a Sept. 12 incident related to security.

The commission says the inspection was conducted between Oct. 1 and Oct. 8 and no findings were identified.

The Tri-City Herald reports details are not being released to protect the security of the nuclear plant.
