TORONTO (AP) — Derrick Rose has been ruled out for the Chicago Bulls’ game at Toronto due to a sore right hamstring.

Coach Tom Thibodeau says Rose will be re-evaluated Saturday before the Bulls host Indiana.

Rose was injured when he drove for a layup in the fourth quarter of Monday’s home win over Cleveland, wincing in pain and leaving shortly afterward.

The 2011 NBA MVP is averaging 14.7 points and 4.5 assists in six games. He missed all of last season while recovering from left knee surgery.

Kirk Hinrich is slated to start on Friday night against the Raptors, with Marquis Teague and Mike James backing him up.
