SE Missouri edges Austin Peay 36-34.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — DeMichael Jackson ran for 137 yards as SE Missouri edged winless, but determined Austin Peay 36-34 on Saturday.

Austin Peay (0-11, 0-7 Ohio Valley Conference) broke out of season-long slump nearly upsetting SE Missouri (3-8, 2-5) and scoring 4 TDs –one shy of its total for the year. SE Missouri rushed for 315 yards and Austin Peay 314.

Ron Coleman gained just 21 yards but was the go-to-guy for the Redhawks on four TD runs. Scott Lathrop threw for just 79 yards and scored on a 40-yard run.

Austin Peay led briefly 31-30 when Enriques Perry scored on a 99-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter. Later, with SE Missouri leading by two points, the Governors mounted a final drive that ended with no points at the Redhawks 33.

Rashaan Coleman scored three touchdowns, gaining 109 yards for Austin Peay.
