SEATTLE (AP) — Isiah Umipig and Deshaun Sunderhaus scored 19 points each as Seattle University raced away from NAIA Evergreen State College 100-59 on Saturday night.

The smaller Geoducks had stayed close for the first five minutes until Umipig hit a 3-pointer, stole the ball and made a three-point play in a 19-second span as Seattle U (2-1) broke away and never looked back. The Redhawks burst from a 6-6 tie to lead by 21, holding the Geoducks scoreless for 5:24.

Umipig and Sunderhaus each scored 13 in the first half. Sunderhaus’ early totals included three dunks.

The bigger Redhawks outscored Evergreen State 58-10 in the paint and, thanks to a 68-28 disparity in rebounding, also enjoyed a 32-10 scoring edge in second-chance baskets. Jack Crook had 14 rebounds for Seattle, Sunderhaus 11.

KJ Hong led Evergreen with 17 points and Kwame Awadjie added 10.
