NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Saints starting cornerback Jabari Greer has hurt his left leg in the first quarter Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers and team officials have quickly ruled him out for the rest of the game.

Greer landed awkwardly after leaping to break up a third-down pass intended for Jon Baldwin. As Greer came down, he twisted his ankle and his knee appeared to buckle.

The veteran was taken to the locker room on a cart. He waved to the crowd while receiving an enthusiastic ovation.

Coming into the game, Greer, a 10-year veteran, had been credited with 30 tackles, including a tackle for a loss, along with an interception and 10 passes defended.
