TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A trip to a fourth consecutive Mid-American Conference title game is on the line for No. 20 Northern Illinois at Toledo on Wednesday night.

The Huskies also look to improve upon a 23-game conference winning streak and return to the Bowl Championship Series.

Northern Illinois (10-0, 6-0 MAC) coach Rod Carey says his team needs to stay focused against a Toledo team that has won five straight.

Toledo (7-3, 5-1) won’t be just trying to play spoiler. The Rockets can move into position to win the MAC West and land a spot in the league’s championship with a victory over Northern Illinois.

The Huskies and the Rockets boast the best running offenses in the MAC.

Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch has rushed for 1,273 yards and 14 touchdowns this season.
