Threatt scores 21 as Delaware beats Army 89-74

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Jarvis Threatt scored 21 points and had eight assists as Delaware beat Army 89-74 on Tuesday night.

Leading 38-33 early in the second half, Delaware (2-2) went on a 16-4 run and led by double-digits for the rest of the game.

All five of Delaware’s starters scored in double figures. In addition to Threatt, Davon Usher and Kyle Anderson each had 16 points, Carl Baptiste had 14 and Marvin King-Davis had 13 for the Fightin’ Blue Hens. King-Davis led Delaware with nine rebounds.

Army (1-3) shot 45.3 percent from the field but was just 2-for-21 on 3-pointers. Kevin Ferguson had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Black Knights.

The win was Delaware’s second in a row after losing its first two games to Richmond and Charleston Southern by two points apiece.
