SEATTLE — The state Transportation Department has 1,004 projects on its list of planned improvements for the next four years.
The department lists projects each year in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to coordinate state and federal spending.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports projects include paving, bridge repairs and facilities for pedestrians, bicycle and transit. But the biggest items in 2014 include hundreds of millions for projects in Seattle including the Alaskan Way Viaduct replacement and Sound Transit light rail.
