Gonzaga students appeal gun probation

SPOKANE — Two Gonzaga students have appealed their probation for having guns in their apartment.

The university said Eric Fagan and Dan McIntosh violated policy by having guns in university housing.

They told KHQ that their appeal Monday notes that the university only leases — and doesn’t own — the apartment building where they live.

They want the probation taken off their records.

Campus police learned about the guns when one student displayed a pistol to drive off a man who came to their door last month asking for money and would not leave.
