SEATTLE — A couple of dozen homeless advocates who slept overnight in Seattle’s Westlake Park marched to City Hall Wednesday morning to a meeting of the Committee to End Homeless in King County.
Demonstrators had a police escort through rush hour traffic on Fifth Avenue to carry a banner down the street.
KOMO Radio reports members told the committee the city needs temporary housing such as tent cities as a transition to more-permanent housing.
The committee is eight years into a 10-year plan to end homelessness in the Seattle area.
