ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Dwyane Wade is not playing against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night, the second game that the Miami Heat have held the All-Star guard out of in as many days.

James Jones is slated to make his second straight start for the Heat in Wade’s place.

Wade has been bothered by knee issues for years and Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says the team has a long-range plan to deal with it this season. Spoelstra says the plan is evaluated daily.

Wade is averaging 16.7 points this season for Miami. He also sat out the second game of the season, at Philadelphia.
