SAN ANTONIO (AP) — LJ McIntosh scored five 3-pointers and a game-high 17 points off the bench as Texas-Pan American defeated University of Texas-San Antonio 70-55 on Thursday night.

The Broncs (3-4) opened the second half with a 17-2 run — including the first nine points of the half — to erase a five-point deficit and never trail again. McIntosh scored 11 of his points in the second half.

Shaquille Hines added 12 points and nine rebounds, and Shaquille Boga and Javorn Farrell scored 11 each for the Broncs.

Keon Lewis scored a season-high 16 points for the Roadrunners (0-4). UTSA shot only 38.6 percent from the field, including 4 of 18 from the 3-point line.

With a 39-22 rebounding edge, Texas-Pan American outscored the Roadrunners 32-20 in the paint and 15-4 on second-chance baskets.
