ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Washington Redskins rookie tight end Jordan Reed remains unable to practice because of a concussion, making it unlikely he will play in Monday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Coach Mike Shanahan says Friday that Reed had yet to pass the league-mandated concussion test.

Reed’s 45 catches for 499 yards both rank second on the Redskins. He was hurt in Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Defensive end Stephen Bowen was also unable to practice Friday because of a left knee injury.

Fullback Darrel Young sat out with a hamstring injury suffered this week at practice, but he says he’s confident he will play Monday.

Cornerback Josh Wilson, who has been battling an infected toe, was able to practice.
