Columbia defeats Idaho 65-60

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Maodo Lo scored a game-high 20 points as Columbia defeated Idaho 65-60 to wrap up the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in Portland on Saturday night.

Lo went 7 of 12 from the field and 4 of 4 from the line. Alex Rosenberg had 17 points including a pair of 3-pointers. Grant Mullins chipped in with 13 points and five rebounds.

Ahead by four at the break, the Lions (3-3) would go on to lead by as many as 14 points in the second half before the Vandals tightened the gap to three points with the help of Sekou Wiggs’ 3-point shot with 11 seconds left to play. Columbia shot 44.2 percent from the field overall and sank 22 of 33 free throws.

Connor Hill led the Vandals (3-3) with 12 points. Idaho finished the game with 28 fouls, including 21 in the second half.
