Evansville defeats Anderson (IN) 91-68

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — D.J. Balentine scored 29 points to lead four in double figures as Evansville defeated Anderson (Indiana) 91-68 Saturday night.

Balentine was 10 of 11 from the floor, including a perfect 3-for-3 shooting from beyond the arc. It was Balentine’s fifth consecutive game scoring 29 points or more. Evansville (5-0) is off to its best start since 1986-87.

Evansville was also led by Adam Wing, who scored 12 points. Wing has scored in double figures in four of the last five games. He was 7 of 8 from the line and had a game-high eight rebounds.

Blake Simmons and Ryan Sawvell each added 15 points for the Purple Aces.

Scott Schwieterman scored 18 points to lead four Anderson (0-4) players in double figures. The Ravens compete as an NCAA Division III school.
