ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — John Fox will be home in time for Thanksgiving.

A person with knowledge of the coach’s plans tells The Associated Press that team owner Pat Bowlen will send his private jet to Charlotte, N.C., to fly Fox and his wife, Robin, back to Denver on Wednesday.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Fox’s itinerary isn’t public.

The Denver Post first reported the plans Sunday.

Fox is recovering from open-heart surgery earlier this month to have his aortic valve replaced. The Broncos are being coached by defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio in his absence.

A timetable for Fox’s return to work hasn’t been determined.

Fox has been walking every day and consulting with Del Rio via phone on a daily basis.
