Miss Narcissist takes Big A’s Fifth Avenue Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Miss Narcissist stretched her winning streak to three in the $150,000 Fifth Avenue, one of four New York Stallion Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday.

Junior Alvarado was aboard the even-money favorite for trainer Linda Rice in the race for 2-year-old fillies. Miss Narcissist beat Hey Kiddo by a head, paying $4.10 to win. The time was 1:11.60 for the six furlongs.

Empire Dreams, the 4-5 choice, took the other 2-year-old division, the $150,000 Great White Way. Irad Ortiz, Jr. guided the colt trained by Tom Albertrani to a 134-length victory over Sol the Freud. Empire Dreams paid $3.70 to win. The time was 1:11.16.

In the $125,000 older horse divisions, Commandante beat West Hills Giant by 112 lengths in the Thunder Rumble.
