Louisiana Tech downs UNC Greensboro 99-62

ESTERO, Fla. (AP) — Alex Hamilton scored a career-high 26 points Monday as Louisiana Tech sailed to a 99-62 victory over UNC Greensboro.

Hamilton shot 10 of 12 (83 percent) from the field and hit back-to-back 3’s in the second half to give the Bulldogs (3-1) a 74-47 lead. Louisiana Tech shot 14 of 25 (56 percent) from behind the arc and outscored the Spartans 51-29 in the second half. Chris Anderson (18), Kenyon McNeail (15), Cordarius Johnson (11) and Jaron Johnson (10) all scored in double digits to help give the Bulldogs their third-straight win of the season.

Jordan Potts led UNC Greensboro (3-2) with 13 points. Kayel Locke and RJ White both finished with 10 as the Spartans shot just 38 percent (21 of 54) from the field.

The matchup was the first game of the Gulf Coast Showcase, an eight-team bracket event in its inaugural year.
