Arkansas-Little Rock tops Southern Arkansas 90-58

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Josh Hagins needed only eight shots to lead Arkansas-Little Rock with 18 points in a 90-58 victory over Southern Arkansas on Tuesday night.

UALR (2-3) led only 39-34 at the break, but used a 13-4 run in the opening minutes of the second half to pull away from the Muleriders for good.

Hagins shot 7 for 8, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range. Will Neighbor was 8 of 13 for 17 points and James White was 7 of 11 for 16. Little Rock shot 57.4 percent overall and 55.6 percent from the arc.

Hagins also tied a career-high with eight assists.

Alre’k Brown had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Southern Arkansas (2-3). DeAndre Scott made a 3-pointer for the Muleriders with 8:42 left to cut the gap to 70-55, but they went scoreless for almost eight minutes as the Trojans scored 19 unanswered points.
