Anchorage, Alaska (AP) — Keifer Sykes scored 23 points, including a perfect 12-for-12 from the line, to lead Green Bay over Pepperdine 97-89 Thursday in the Great Alaska Shootout.

Green Bay (3-1) had five players in double figures, with Alec Brown chipping in 21.

Pepperdine’s Brendan Lane led all scorers with 26 points.

Green Bay held 1-point halftime lead, and was down by one at 16:53 of the second half when Sykes buried a 3-pointer to take the lead. The Phoenix then went on a 9-0 run and held Pepperdine (4-2) scoreless for 5:01. After a David Jesperson layup for the Waves, Green Bay went on another 8-point run to take a commanding 13-point advantage.

The Phoenix weren’t done though, extending their lead to as much as 17 before Pepperdine turned things into a free-throw shooting contest late in the game. Green Bay made 17-of-18 from the line inside 2 minutes.
