The FCC is considering lifting the ban on use of cellphones. I cannot imagine sitting in a tube at 40,000 feet listing to someone talk on a cellphone. People are rude with their phones, and there are so many problems with cellphones on the ground that taking those problems to the skies would hamper flight safety. Texting is OK but not voice calls. Maybe make a part of the airplane cell free. Let people who want to make calls during flight pay extra for a cellphone area. Nothing is that important to be on a cellphone at 40,000 feet.
