Bradley beats up on Texas-Pan American 74-54

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Walt Lemon Jr. scored 26 points with six assists helping Bradley get past Texas-Pan American 74-54 on Saturday night.

Coming off two straight losses to tough Division I teams (Arizona St, Illinois), Lemon scored well over his team-leading season average of 16 points while Omari Grier added 17 points for Bradley.

Bradley (5-2) pulled away strong from Texas-Pan American (4-5) scoring the first 14 points of the game and leading at the half 34-21. UTPA fought back to an eight point deficit with eleven minutes left in the second half before the comeback wheels fell off and the Braves exploded on a 10-0 run sparked by a Ka’Darryl Bell’s 3- pointer. The Braves hit 55 percent from the floor despite going only 8-14 from the penalty strip.

Shaquille Boga hit for 17 points and Javorn Farrell scored 15 for the Broncos.
